The Chilean joined as part of a stunning swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and he should certainly add an extra element to their attacking line, but Jose Mourinho did little to bolster his squad elsewhere.
Naturally the talented coach is already looking for another winger to add to his fairly expansive collection in the summer, and Ajax’s Justin Kluivert is the name at the top of his list, according to the Mirror.
Justin, son of the legendary Patrick Kluivert, was part of the Ajax side that lost to United in the the Europa League final last season, and he exchanged a few words with Mourinho after the game.
The 18-year old has already broken into the starting XI at Ajax, and has been impressing with performances in the Eredivisie. Players who make moves from the Dutch league to the Premier League are often wildcards, but Kluivert certainly has the pedigree to be a star.
His addition to the Manchester United squad should give them a long-term option out wide, and hopefully make them slightly more competitive in order to give their City rivals more of a challenge.
